What's up with this system that rewards a lack of accomplishment?

Recently, my girlfriends ex husband, graduated fractions away from honors with his certificate from San Diego City College's HVAC program coupled with a 4 YEAR APPRENTICESHIP from ABC (Associated Builders & Contractors), this certificate puts a solid strong able young man in a position to care for his daughter and help his ex-wife in a trifling economy. THE DAY THIS MAN GRADUATES, THE DAY HE GRADUATES, he received a voicemail that he's been laid off. LAID OFF LAID OFF ARE YOU FRICKEN KIDDING ME!!!!! As a man who participated in 14 years defending this country and it's so called principles, am I to really believe that we have come to a point where we congratulate the lack of motivation. What's the point in trying when it costs more to succeed than it does to do nothing? Cmon USA where are we headed? We're living in a world where we get to be judged on the principles that our judges didn't adhere to. Even worse we're judged on principles our "judges" knowingly ignored. Now am i to believe we're in a position to congratulate the lack of accomplishment. Somebody throw me a fricken bone here. JOE KENNEDY FROM SANTEE I KNOW WE NEVER MET BUT I GOT YOUR BACK. IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A COMPANY THAT NEEDS A WORKING MAN WITH A GOOD EDUCATION AND PRINCIPLES let me know.
