Online CourthouseNews.com is reporting that a Navy pilot has filed suit alleging that the Sony Playstation 3 video game "Oblivion: The Elder Scrolls IV" cost him his flight status when the game's strobe-like effects gave him "a grand mal seizure for the first time in his life."
The suit filed in federal court here May 4 claims ex-F-18 pilot John Ryan McLaughlin was playing the game in March of last year when he suffered the mind paralyzing effects. According to the complaint, the game did not "conform to acceptable limits of spatial pattern and luminance flashes, thereby threatening the life and/or health of the consumer."
