In the flower bed, on the dirt this morning, is an REI collapsible waterproof bag, the top zipper undone, a few tee shirts and books scattered within a 20 ft radius. I’ve seen that guy reading his book or doing crossword puzzles. Looks like he left in a hurry- or was escorted by the Alpha Project, the Vet Village guys, or the police to another location. Why would he leave his book? As I pass the parking lot entrance, I hear someone yelling my way, what’s going on. I glance over and see the landscape picking guy from the mornings, sitting in a car with the door open and the stereo blasting. Big smile hi, hi Sharon! I wave back and continue on my way.
