I’ve been distracted lately by commercial light poles, on streets, on highways, in communities, in parks, in residential areas . The new ones on the state highway are giant pieces of curved metal tubing.
I’m wondering if it’s for decoration, or if the interior of the 12-16” tube is jammed full of some sort of wiring, maybe hiding cable TV or cell phone electronics, maybe spy cameras, maybe a body or two that disappeared during the months of construction. Maybe its solid steel so if a truck hits it won’t tip over, that’d be some engineering right. It’d be awful heavy.
The older ones are till skinny and kind look like one of those tools with the rubber tip the dentist tells you to massage your gums with, only bigger.
