ROBERTO CARLOS

May 26, 2010 San Diego Sport Arena

ROBERTO CARLOS IN CONCERT

Last Wednesday we watched the great Brazilian singer ROBERTO CARLOS in The San Diego Sport Arena.

ROBERTO CARLOS, actually a romantic singer has 50 years of career, he is singing since 1959 with American original songs or American songs version to Portuguese and for long time he song rock n’ roll and ie-ie-ie rithym from The Beatles or the Brazilian rock way called “Jovem Guarda” (something like “Youth Way”)

The shows begin quiet and with romantic songs, and get more power when he emotionally sang “Lady Laura”, the old song tribute to his mother and he said “This song I will sing forever!!!”. His mother pass way in last April, close his birthday and when he was receiving a New York Award.

After that the show got more rithym, when the singer shows a “Pot-Pourri” with since old songs until recent songs to close with the famous “Jesus Cristo”.

ROBERTO CARLOS sang the most songs in Hispanic language and some others in Portuguese to a Brazilian guest that was there. He only sang one song in English.

ROBERTO CARLOS is a great musician and he have an owner Band for the shows since long time ago, but in this show we can feel that the band was late in just time and the singer needed go slowly to wait the band time.

Finally, I need to say that the public that full the San Diego Sport Arena was happy and after the end they call the singer to one more time singing!!!!! And them Roberto Carlos did his traditional “roses gift” to the ladies close the stage.
