"Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed."
I read today he died...
Flash back to July 20, 1969. A hot humid Houston summer. In a second story walk up apartment my family and I watched a black and white image of a man descending to the surface of the moon.
"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind."
In the heart of this 10 year old boy, the seed of my future was planted. Everyday in a life well lived, I have carried in my heart the voice of Neil Armstrong.
It DID happen, I saw it, and this is true.
And now Neil has passed.
Ad Astra Neil. Ad Astra....
