The hawk circles above us aligned like soldiers on a march
and I wonder why it claims this piece of highway as home--when there is little
to feed upon aside from our saturated sorry souls commuting to jobs that hardly
fulfill us. Why
I wonder are we all looking up at this thing--at
this taloned predator scaling the heights above where we are parked,
virtually, daily, hourly, for no reason other than we all feel we must get somewhere
we aren't currently at.
