I had been trying to figure out what to do with this piece of art, along the Embarcadero, in San Diego. I was photographing something else, when I noticed a flock of pigeons swooping around, especially after the mock cannon battles would scare them into flight. Then, I saw “evidence” that the pigeons loved the spot next to this piece of art. I waited and waited and finally…got what I was waiting for. I thought the background (pigeons) fit the subject perfectly. Don’t you?
