Besides The Patriot Run there are a few other events this holiday weekend.
Vista has their Strawberry Festival on Sunday the 26th. The festival is a big event with multiple stages presenting various activities simultaneously. In addition to the pie eating contest there is also a shortbread eating contest.
The 10K starts at 7:05 a.m. with the 5K starting an hour later. The running costume contest is at 10 a.m. and the rest of the schedule goes until 4 p.m.
On Monday the 27th at 9:00 a.m. the EOD Warrior Foundation is holding its first annual 5k. EOD stands for Explosive Ordnance Disposal. The event is at Liberty Station and Oggi’s Pizza will be hosting a post race pizza and beer garden.
