Butterfly Jungle opened March 16 at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. As I mentioned in my previous post about it, I've been dying to experience this magical encounter for years, but have never made it in the small window that it's available (it only goes for a few weeks, this one ends on April 7).
Fortunately, this year I was able to make it up for the media preview, and I captured the wonderment on my "pocket recorder" (a.k.a. iPhone), just for you.

Perhaps aware of all the butterfly energy surrounding us, two lions (a male and female) got up from their usual spots of repose and came all the way up to the glass to say hello.
