Really, though, artists have been using carefully articulated type- symbols and letters- to express their art long before the digital age.
See the intricacies of typography art tonight at Basic (410 10th Avenue) when Thumbprint Gallery presents Not Your Typical Type, a typography art show from 7 p.m. until midnight.
