Dream about rubbing elbows with local business owners over cocktails?
Hoping at least one of them will be smitten, or drunk, enough so as to divulge the secret recipe of your favorite dish or bestow upon you a lifetime discount on all future clothing purchases?
Well head on over to Seven Grand (3054 University Ave.) tonight for your chance when North Park Main Street (NPMS) holds their New Year Mixer.
NPMS is not only a volunteer-based non-profit organization responsible for preserving the historical integrity of San Diego's North Park neighborhood, but is also a Business Improvement District (BID)- promoting development that supports arts, culture, and entertainment.
Angela Landsberg, current NPMS Executive Director, said via email that these mixers "provide a great opportunity for the Board Of Directors to thank the business who work hard to make North Park a great place to be."
Four NPMS mixers of this kind have been held since Landsberg took over her position in August of 2011, each sponsored by a different local business.
"We hope that this will provide an opportunity for business owners to mix and mingle," Landsberg goes on to say, "and for others who may not be NPMS members to meet the folks who own the businesses that make this a great community."
For those who are not NPMS members, there will be a $5 charge to get into the joint (free for BID members) but that includes tray passed apps and a complimentary cocktail.
The action happens between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., but Seven Grand's happy hour runs from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. so you might want to show up early and stay late.
