This event for terrarium, aquarium, and plant enthusiasts brings together a variety of interests under one roof: poison-dart frogs, geckos, orchids and tropical plants, carnivorous plants, custom vivariums, marine aquaria, natural history–inspired art and jewelry, vertical gardens, and more. Talks throughout the day on several different topics and a live auction at 3:00 p.m. to benefit amphibian conservation. $5–$8.

Families can create mixed-media sculptures inspired by two exhibits: In Search of Shadows, by James Hubbell, and Flavia Gilmore’s assemblage Paper, Wood, Metal. Kids will have the opportunity to explore a variety of media and create their own three-dimensional form using wood, paper, styrofoam, tin foil, wire, yarn, and other found objects. Designed to engage children of all ages. No art experience required. Healthy refreshments and kid-centric docent tours will be provided.
