RAWards San Diego Winners!

On November 16, finalist artists of all kinds (visual art, fashion, accessories, music, film, photography, performing art, hair and makeup) gathered at 4th & B to determine who will represent San Diego in the international RAWards 2012 Indie Arts Awards. RAW: natural born artists is an organization that seeks "to provide independent artists within the first 10 years of their career with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity."

The audience gets 50 percent of the vote, judges determine the other half. There were three judges this year: Ian Xavier, Michelle Guerin, and Barbarella Fokos (that last one is me, in case you didn't notice the byline above).

Us judges, looking all judgy

For a full line-up of the nominees this year, Click here. The winners from a pool of each city's best of the best will be announced on December 3, and the RAWards Ceremony and Show will take place in Hollywood on January 13. The prizes are extensive, you can see a list for prizes in each category HERE.

Here are our San Diego representatives. Good luck, everyone!
