Knickers for Knockers Give Breasts Their Best

Every 69 seconds a woman dies of breast cancer. It kills more women in the U.S. than any other type of cancer besides lung cancer, and, statistically, 1 in 8 of the women you know will contract some form of breast cancer in her lifetime.

As such, burlesque beauty Sassy Stiletto and her company of dancers and singing starlets will be giving you their breast performance at Knickers for Knockers (Sunset Temple, April 14) in order to raise at least $2,300 for Stiletto’s participation in the Susan G. Komen 3-day, 60 mile walk in November.

The Dallas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure foundation is the largest breast cancer non-profit in the U.S. and, since 1982, has invested nearly $2 billion in global breast cancer research and local community programs supporting education, screening and treatment.

In the spirit of objectivity, note that this foundation has received its share of criticism. Just today, at least 5 top officials left the organization after it fell under scrutiny for withdrawing funding from Planned Parenthood.

Knickers for Knockers will feature dazzling performances from:

Sassy Stiletto

Lizzie L’amour

Valentina (Unity)

Nina Bel Vande

Andrea Miller (with guest Kixxi Galore)

Venatrix Vae

Ryder Moore

Jacqueline Chaton

Lulu D’Lovely

Ginger N. Whiskey (Hell on Heels)

Lola Demure (Caburlesque Kittens)

And your host, Kevynia.

Prizes will be awarded to the most “perfectly pink” attendees, so rock your colors of support and dress for the occasion in pin-up, vintage, or a corset.

The show starts at 8:15, but get to the Sunset Temple at 7 to take part in the silent auction.

$30 general admission includes hors devoures during cocktail hour and sweets at intermission.

$80 VIP tickets also include front and center seating on white couches (“watch out for a flying brassiere!”) and access to the VIP lounge where your hostesses will greet you with a champagne toast upon arrival, a meet and greet with performers during cocktail hour, a signed photograph of Sassy Stiletto, a trio of cocktails served to you by your hostess, and a special gift.

Buy tickets online.

If you are unable to attend, you can make a donation online.

Knickers for Knockers will be featuring a slide show of breast cancer survivors, fighters, lost loved ones, and pictures from previous 3-Day walks. Email any photos you would like to have included to [email protected].

In addition to street parking, the North Park parking garage is available a few blocks away (29th and North Park Way ) for $5.
