PRIDE Festival & Parade

Pride Festival begins on Saturday, July 21 at noon and runs through Sunday evening. The event will feature performances by Natasha Bedingfield and Sandra Bernhard in addition to "more than 80 musicians, bands, comedy and dance performers, 300 participating vendor booths, an Art exhibit, cultural presentations, and great food!" The San Diego Pride website projects 55,000 people to be in attendance at the festival, which will be held at Marston Point in Balboa Park (6th and Laurel St). Tickets range from $20-80.

The San Diego LGBT Pride Parade will be held on Saturday, July 21 at 11 a.m. and begin at University Ave and Normal St. Parade participants will move west on University Ave. to 6th Ave, then south, ending at Balboa Dr. and Upas St. at Balboa Park.

The entire parade covers 1.5 miles and will span approximately 2 hours. San Diego LGBT Pride Parade "is the 4th largest in the United States attracting over 197,000 cheering spectators."
