North County Fireworks

For North County residents who prefer to stay local on July 4th, there are parades, picnics, bands, and fireworks being sponsored by Oceanside, Vista, Fallbrook, Valley Center, and Escondido.

Oceanside’s annually Traditional Independence Day Parade begins at 10AM. The parade usually draws over 200,000 people, about a third of those who attend San Diego’s Big Bay Boom. Visitors are advised to refer to the City’s traffic map prior attending. Evening fireworks will not take place due to budget constraints. However, there will be fireworks at Camp Pendleton's Del Mar Beach at the close of their all day 4th of July Beach Bash.

Vista’s 4th of July event begins at 1PM at Moonlight Amphitheater in Brengle Terrace Park and will include live music, fireworks, and the Light Up the Night Dinner served by the Artisan Café. A $5/per person admission price will be charged for all those over 10 yrs. Parking at the Park will be available for $15 and at Vista High parking lots for $5. Shuttles will run from the school to the park until 11PM.

Fallbrook’s 4th of July at the Grand Tradition festivities begin at 4PM. The $43/adult, $12/child (6-8 yrs) admission price to the Rubber Raft Regatta, the Quack-Up Cup Race and the fireworks includes parking at the South Mission Road estate and up to 10 beverage/food tickets. Rubber ducky entrance fees are separate.

Valley Center’s Fireworks are scheduled to begin at 6PM on Lilac Road, adjacent to the Valley Center Little League fields. Those wishing to attend are asked to check the town’s website or call Kelly Crews, the show’s organizer, at 760-670-7062.

Escondido’s free firework display at Grape Day Park includes pre-fireworks arts and crafts for kids, old-time picnic games, and live music from the Rumble Kings, Kanan Road and Creedence Relived.
