I spotted friends and fellow fashion co-bloggers Tiffany Williams and Anastasia Balom walking down Fern Street in South Park on Saturday night. The ladies have a shared style blog called Timeless Menagerie. They showcase local designers and San Diego fashion events.

Anastasia wore a newly acquired 1980's, rust-colored dress purchased at UCP thrift shop.
“The United Cerebral Palsy thrift stores are my favorite. There is one in PB and another one in Lemon Grove. It’s one of those shops where you have to really sift through to find great stuff. My dress was $6.99 marked 50 percent off. I ended up paying $3.50 for it.”
Balom made her bright green clutch. She has owned her earrings since college.
“I like to wear really big plate-sized earrings,” The 25-year-old blogger told me.
Co-blogger Tiffany Williams is a bargain shopper. Her gray leopard-print shoes are from Forever 21. Her hat is from Target.
“My earrings were 99 cents,” Williams said.
Williams’ latest obsession is scarfs, “I like to mix and match different colors and patterns. I love prints.”
When asked what her biggest fashion pet peeve is, Tiffany quickly answered, “When people wear tights as pants! Leggings are great with long shirts. I hate to see people walking around in them paired with a shirt that needs to be 3 inches longer.”
Added Balom, “I have a problem with ill-fitting clothing. If it’s too tight it’s not going to look good. It’s usually the skinny girls that do it. Just buy one size up! I also can’t stand to see people in Flip-flops when it’s raining.”
When asked what their favorite shops are Balom cited Flashbacks, “They are great for statement pieces.”
“I really like Rose Rags. She is a local designer that makes great pieces to fit all body types.” Williams adds.

When I asked Eileen Doñiego de France what her name was she asked, “My real name or my fake name?”
I shrugged.
“I’ll give you my pen name then,” she said taking my notebook and scrawling down the name Eileen Doñiego de France, “I’m a freelance writer.”
Eileen’s head scarf is from American Apparel.
“It’s the kind with wire in it. They are a bit pricier but so worth it,” the 28-year-old tells me.
Eileen’s dress was an H&M purchase from a few seasons back. Her shoes are Bakers.
“I can’t live without my combat boots. I wear them almost every day,” she told me.
Eileen’s biggest pet peeve is when people base their style choices strictly on what they see posted on Tumblr. “It’s cute but it can be a bit too much!’ She says.
