Mia Tedford always wears black.
"I'm drawn to dark things. I don't feel comfortable in color," the 18-year-old tells me.
"I used to be Hollister prep. Those were the dark days. I had a quick punk phase too. I used stud my own jackets. I'm always changing," Tedford says with a shrug.
The only pop of color in Tedford's wardrobe comes from her lipstick. She usually wears red or purple shades on her lips. Mia works as a make-up artist at the Benefit Cosmetic counter in Macys at Grossmont Center.

"This sweatshirt is my favorite. It was only $20. Pretty much everything I own is under $20."
