Christopher Estrella, local dance choreographer, continues his search for walking-dead wannabes, "night creatures" and "things with forty eyes," to dance alongside him to Michael Jackson's Thriller at the San Diego County Fair on June 25.
Estrella, owner of C-Star Productionz, wants this year's Thriller dance party to be bigger than last year's performance when 200 dancers joined him at the Del Mar Fairgrounds to resurrect the Thriller dance.
Estrella says he is scouring the county, asking former zombies from last year's performance to return, approaching Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, the Marine Corps, Navy, and local law enforcement to learn the zombie-groove at free classes around San Diego County. Estrella is posting the dance-of-the-dead on his website.
”We are trying to get 1000 zombies” says Estrella. "Everybody and anybody can do it, no matter age or dance experience.”
