I'd say "together at last," but this combo is nothing new. But there is something unique about the wine and art soiree at Island Prime this weekend. All of the artists whose work will be shown and sold are employees of the Cohn Restaurant Group.
Both art and wine will be for sale, as Island Prime has its own wine club, called Prime Cru, which is overseen by the restaurant's wine director, Maurice DiMarino. To highlight the compatibility between wine and art, each of the artist's work will be paired with both a red and white wine, "based on the structure, complexity, and emotion of both the wine and work of art."
The show and sale is from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday, July 23, at Island Prime, which is located at 880 Harbor Island Drive (with a great view of downtown and the Coronado Bridge). It's $10 per person at the door, and hors d'oeuvres will be served. If you want to learn more about the artists in advance, email [email protected].
