Cafe Sevilla has announced their grand re-opening party for Wednesday, July 27 after closing doors for months to undergo a $2.7 million remodel.
Sevilla rescheduled from their original June 24 opening date due to delays in obtaining permits, though they anticipate the venue will be open well before the 27th at their new location on Fifth Avenue across the street from Dick’s Last Resort.
A landmark of the Gaslamp for over two decades, Café Sevilla began as a small tapas bar and has since become a prime destination for live latin, gypsy, and flamenco music as well as dancing seven nights a week.
The re-opening party benefits It’s All About the Kids, which “is committed to the advancement of children through the joining of music, the arts and the generosity of corporations and individuals.”
The party features complimentary tapas, sangria, wine tasting, Flamenco guitar, dancing, and salsa lesson.
Tickets are available for $25.
If you’ve already purchased a ticket and cannot attend the new date, email [email protected] for a refund.
The venue recommends “chic attire” for the event.
