This installment of OB in HD showcases the dazzling and diverse clouds that decorated the skies of Ocean Beach on a recent Wednesday in early June.
Earlier, a mostly rainless thunderstorm had lingered in Ocean Beach through much of the morning. The storm announced itself at about 8:30am with a single, startling thunderclap, which was followed by about 30 seconds of scattered but plump rain drops.
Some time around noon, it rained again, but harder this time - enough to send the cats scurrying for cover. About five minutes after the rain started, another single thunderclap shook the neighborhood - and sent the cats into hiding.
The footage above was shot at about 5:00pm. Though the thunder and rain had long dissipated, they were kind enough to leave clouds that loomed spectacularly for hours.
