On a recent Friday, Bijan - a distinguished visitor from Germany - signed up for a lesson, jumped into the water, and rode some waves for the first time. He managed to stand up several times, which isn't easy, as anyone who has tried surfing will tell you. And the smile on his face suggests that it won't be long before Bijan is on a board again.
