Yup, get the jump on November with a soon-to-be-relevant Bus Pass. On this, my last blog post for the month of October, I'd like to take a quick look back and formulate a swift recapitulation of notable goings on for the month.
Such A Recapitulation, As Promised Not Ten Words Ago
Made everybody mad at me somehow and then made them like me again through guile and charmingness.
Managed to reference Sugar Ray, Pavement and Warren Zevon in blog titles, thereby paying homage (albeit weak) to some of the most important recording artists of the past fifty years. Next month: T-Rex and David Byrne! (Note: Reference to Bachman Turner Overdrive exempted as BTO is not of seminal importance in rock history)
Mastered footnotes despite the blog server's merciless slaughtering of my HTML tags.1
Planted seeds of list obsession in Readerblog Community.
Broke into a third page of entries when observing the blog in its entirety.
Became self-referential.
Did my part to prove that craigslist is and will remain the single most important site on the whole Interwebs. Not Google, not Facebook, not myspace, eBay, Amazon, or Yahoo. Craigslist. If the most important function of the internet is communications, then craigslist is where that function is best exemplified. More things of real importance happen on craigslist in a single day than happen on other major internet hubs in a week.2
Grew comfortable making wildly unsubstantiated claims.3
Got to better know antigeekess, PistolPete, CuddleFish (nee Fish), SDaniels, Adam92102, nan, refriedgringo, et. al. that much better.
Enjoyed virtual world company of same.
