Policy Development Group, the lobbying, public affairs and crisis communications firm based in Phoenix, has hired Paul Worlie to head its new California office in San Diego. The firm has a client list including Toyota Motor Sales and promoted the subsidized stadium of the Arizona Cardinals of the NFL.
Co-founder Ron Ober was a long-time aide to former Sen. Dennis DeConcini, who tried to keep regulators away from savings & loan swinger Charles Keating, who eventually went to prison. While an aide to DeConcini, Ober had multi-million dollar real estate deals with Keating, according to Arizona media. DeConcini claimed he didn't know about the deals.
Worlie is a former aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, as well as former senators Tom Daschle and Tim Johnson, both of South Dakota.
