A warrant sweep for individuals failing to make their court appearances on Friday (October 4) resulted in 14 arrests in La Jolla, Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, and downtown San Diego.
Suspects arrested face charges ranging from drunk driving to domestic violence to petty theft. Three felony warrants were served, the remainder of the arrests were on misdemeanor charges. Because some of the individuals detained faced multiple charges, a total of 16 warrants were cleared.
As in past sweeps, this enforcement action was funded by fees collected from others who have violated court orders collected through the Sheriff's Warrant System Automation Trust Fund.
