A man who exposed himself to a woman working at a spa in Encinitas was sentenced yesterday to 2 years prison and ordered to register as a sex offender.
It was two months ago when Timothy Ty Craine, 31, approached a pretty blonde who was working the front counter at a salon in Encinitas.
“He stated that he wanted a pedicure.” Molly testified at a court hearing later the same month, last March. Molly said her workplace is located near the intersection of Highway 101 and Encinitas Boulevard, in Encinitas.
Molly said when she came around the counter to hand the man a price list, “He acted like he was going to put it in his pocket,” but instead the man lifted up his long shirt. The woman could see that the stranger had buckled his pants beneath his naked private parts and was exposing himself to her.
Timothy Ty Craine was charged with public exposure of private parts, the prosecutor asserting that the defendant has a prior conviction for the same offense out of Riverside County in 2006. That caused the current offense to be charged as a felony.
San Diego Superior Court Judge Aaron Katz ordered Craine to serve 2 years prison and register as a sex offender, late yesterday afternoon, May 22, 2013.
