Sheriff’s deputies arrested seven people early Wednesday morning (June 26) in connection with a marijuana growing operation.
While conducting a traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. on the 700 block of Ramona Drive in Julian, deputies found marijuana and “equipment used to grow marijuana” in two separate vehicles. They believe the suspects were in the process of dismantling and moving equipment from a nearby house, which was also searched, resulting in the seizure of 25 plants plus a firearm and ammunition.
Kevin Chhum, age 19, Dara Seng, 29, Eric Tijerina, 24, Adlai Pacificar, 25, Jonathan Castaneda, 21, Suzanne Sisomphone, 29, and Sarat Sek, 28, were arrested and charged with marijuana cultivation. Sek also faces charges for being a felon in possession of a firearm.
