Mexicali, the capital of Baja California, only received 200. The statistics were released over the weekend as Tijuana prepares for incoming federal aid to help with the cities large influx of deportees.
Baja California received over 25% of deportees from the U.S. in 2012, which included over 126,000 persons. The nation in whole received over 400,000.
The police chief stated that a local agency will be setup to help deportees return to their place of origin within Mexico.
