Late Wednesday night, Escondido police asked for the public’s help to locate a person they suspect killed his wife.
The man is named as Jesus Flores Hernandez, who goes by “Tony,” according to a police spokesman.
The wanted man is described as a 46-year-old Hispanic male with collar-length black hair, standing 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing approximately 150 pounds.
“Escondido police were called to the 1500 block of East El Norte Parkway by a child who said he was unable to wake his mother,” police lieutenant Neal Griffin reported late July 31, 2013. “Officers arrived on the scene and determined the woman, identified as Juana Jacinto Montalvo, 44, was dead. The cause of death has been determined to be homicide.”
Police said their suspect drives a tan-colored, four-door model, 2004 GMC Canyon pick-up truck, with California license plates 7D60443.
“Anyone who knows the whereabouts of Hernandez should not approach him but dial 911,” the lieutenant advised.
