Authorities are seeking witnesses and information tips from the public after thieves stripped about 7,500 feet of copper wiring from the lighting system at 4S Ranch Community Park on the 16100 block of 4S Ranch Parkway near the north end of San Diego’s city limits. The theft occurred during the evening of April 13 or early in the morning on April 14.
A similar theft was reported last November in Poway, a few miles east. Total damages in the recent incident top $3,000 for replacement of the wiring and repairs to the park’s stadium and sidewalk lights.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the 4S Ranch Sheriff’s Substation at (858) 521‐5200 or the Crime Stoppers anonymous tip line at (888) 580‐8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for tips leading to arrest and conviction.
