The San Diego Sheriff’s Department has released a sketch of the suspect accused of sexually assaulting a 41 year-old woman in Imperial Beach on the evening of July 8.
The suspect is described as a “black adult male, 6'1", 175 LBS, short dark hair, lean build, dark complexion.” He was reported to be wearing a white shirt and long dark shorts at the time of the assault, and was armed.
The victim was confronted near Palm Avenue and 5th Street, and was forced to walk down 5th Street to a yard in the 700 block. She escaped when voices were heard from passersby, and was able to contact a couple walking in the area, who called 911.
