A much-loved burger place in North County San Diego may open again as soon as tomorrow morning, according to a man working at the new location Saturday April 28.
Jose Loera said they hope to be serving again by 7 a.m. Sunday, at Nessy Burger’s new location next to the Pala Mesa Market on Old Highway 395 in Fallbrook.
About three weeks ago, the popular burger joint could be seen from Interstate 15 in a parking lot next to a Mobile gasoline station, at the corner of Old Highway 395 and Highway 76. The new location is about two-tenths of a mile north of the old one.
Jose Loera said anxious customers have been stopping by to tell him they feared the eatery had gone out of business when they saw it was missing from its old spot. And Loera said many truckers driving by are honking their horns and making a rolling hand gesture telling him they want his construction work speeded up. Loera estimated “a couple hundred” persons drive by daily to inspect progress.
Jose Loera said the new location will have a thirty foot car port and six picnic tables in front and two picnic tables in back with handicapped access, and other improvements to please loyal customers.
