On our last day in New York yesterday, we decided to go into Soho and Little Italy. We were walking down Mercer and came across this. They closed the street, but we were already there. We assumed it was a movie or TV show being shot, and when I asked someone what they were filming, she told me "Bernie Madoff's son killed himself and they are bringing out the body". Everyone was waiting with their cameras ready. New Yorkers love a tradgedy. Brings them together.
