It seems that the third time may be the charm at the address presently occupied by the Ale House & Sausage Grill known as The Regal Beagle. Within the last three years this ground floor space at 3659 India Street Suite #101, next to a dentist and below an investigation agency, has previously housed an Indian and then a BBQ restaurant.
With an ever changing choice of bratwurst meats and microbrews this upstart seems to bring in a broad swath of the surrounding citizenry. Whether it’s the Friday and Saturday night singles/party scene or the Sunday morning NFL family and friends crowd the increasing patronage seems to show a growing popularity.
Though liquor is not on the menu the employees are fast and well informed to assist you in finding the beer type to best fit your food choice or state of mind. Walking in you’re immediately facing a large area on the wall dedicated to informing patrons of the day’s brew selection, its name, brand and alcohol content.
Sit down at one of the two bars, high tables or outdoor seating under the blue skies or stars above and get ready to look over a meat lover’s dream menu. The menu will also list well known bar fare with the likes of mac’n cheese, buffalo wings and mini corn dogs. Vegetarians, do not lose hope, they offer a great big plate of hummus dip with veggies/pita wedges and look for the mixed green salads!
Brats are bringing in the patronage and making them regulars while making a name for the Regal Beagle on the local pub/grill scene. Whether it’s the Germanic, Morrocan, Turkey Cranberry or Jalapeno Cheddar the bratwursts feed the hungry and keep the conniseur on their feet wondering what the next “Sausage of the Month” will feature.
With easy access via I-5’s Washington Street exit and a warm and welcoming atmosphere it’s easy to drop in during their hours of operation- Monday through Friday 3pm –midnight and on Saturday noon-midnight. The earlier opening hours on Sunday schedule 10am-midnite and five monitors make watching the NFL nice and convenient.
