Once something is on the internet, it never truly leaves, does it? that would also apply to evidence that one found regarding another person, true? Here’s my situation: there is a ton of evil out there with me all over it, most of which is safely tucked away in the confines of the wife’s computer at work. Ouch. And lately she’s been hanging that over my head, specifically when it comes to turning those files over to my boss – double ouch, I like getting a paycheck. However comma what’s unknown to her is that I have the same kind of information on her! granted, she hasn’t gotten as involved in a one-on-one that I have, but she’s sharing with the entire e-universe. To my credit, even I never joined a public adult site and started racking up friends and comments from the darker side of people’s private lives. And now? now we’re anticipating a visit from the most venomous of all – her mother. Oy. The epitome of the monster in law, headed our way. Divorced, several times, independent, and completely fearless when it comes to speaking her mind irregardless of the feelings of others. She’ll roll into town in her convertible, funded by #2 or 3 on her list, and then the tag-team handicap match will commence.
I’ll have a few choices at that point: a) stand and fight, ultimately nobody wins in that scenario; b) sit back and take it, which will suck; c) find some ground in between and take my shots where I can. I’m leaning toward the sugar ray leonardish option c), picking my time and place, stinging with a jab then backing away from the haymaker that follows. Then there’s option d), which would be to jump on my bike and head down to point loma, riding along past shelter island, into downtown and spend the day avoiding them all together. So completely falling in love with that idea even as we speak – if anyone sees the guy on the red fuji down along the waterfront Saturday afternoon and he looks like he’s in escape mode…well, you’ll know…
