i used to love her

It is possible that some people can never be happy in life? No names mentioned, but who can take something as simple as taking a dog for a walk and turn it into something bad? Who can finish off a relatively quiet but peaceful weekend with comments about the past indiscretions? I don’t get that. Why not just turn off the brain and relax, let the drama wait for the morning? No…lights out, blanket pulled up to the ears must be the perfect time to drop a line that she picked up from the ex-husband of someone I fooled around with. As if her talking to him isn’t bad enough, but she believes the venom that he spews, takes it to heart and allows it to control her actions and thoughts towards me. I’m wrong and I haven’t done anything (lately). Yeah, I’ve got a horrible track record; yes, I’ve been guilty of many, MANY things in the past; but I’ve been good(ish) lately.

So here’s a question for you: what is better – to live the same life, knowing there will always be good times and a flood of bad ones – OR – venturing into the unknown and living a new life where an act as simple as ‘blocking’ on social media and using callerID will help insure there is a little private peace in life?

I don’t hate her, I never could. There’s been too many years together, too many separations capped by a joyful reunion. But I’m damn tired of her nonsense. The lies, the innuendos about leaving, and here’s the latest kicker – apparently my liaisons mean that it’s okay in her eyes to go online to some adult site and start showing off her breasts. They’re nice and all, but even I never gave the world a free look at my junk. But there they are, for all the world to see. She thinks I don’t know, but I received a tip from a friend that said “you might wanna see this” – check. Then I dug a little further, taking the ‘safe search’ option off – ignored her name and email address, went to the alternate email accounts I knew she had and voila! Found 2 other sites with her on them and one of them goes back to last summer! Really? And I’m the one to blame? I’ll take partial credit on this one, but I’ve come clean at least. she’s on the most recent one almost daily and has quite the vocal little following...
