A flying 16” hubcap from a Ford Excursion was recently recovered from the road near the trolley tracks at 450 Euclid Avenue trolley station on Tuesday, November 3, 2009.
The white sport utility vehicle was seen heading south on Euclid Avenue after it passed over the trolley tracks and the hubcap came loose. Unfortunately a positive identification on the license plate was not possible. Several vehicles had to swerve around the hubcap on the road before it was safely removed and a photo taken for identification. Searches in the Internet sites that sell these hubcaps show the value range from $ 25 to $ 75 without shipping and handling. So if you are missing one of these it would be worth your while to contact the finder at [email protected] or 619-674-7713. Please act quickly since the finder will only keep the item only for a short time.
