Earlier this summer, Naked Pizza opened in Pacific Beach and it was fantastic. Being that I'm a huge pizza fan, I thought to myself: finally, pizza that I can actually consider "real" food.
They advertise use of superbiotics, which is a really fancy way of saying, "not only do we use FOOD to make your food, but the food we make is super charged with probiotics which make for a happy digestive track."
Awesome, right?
Most certainly. In theory.
Now, I'd like to point out that as of right now, the only experience I've had with Naked pizza was with the 92109 location.
When it opened originally, it was amazing.
The last three times however, it's been awful. From bad service to bad food: undercooked/doughy breadsticks, BLACK cheese on my poor little pizza, etc..
On top of that, they print coupons with no expiration date, which means... Every time we've called and said, "We have such-and-such-coupon," the employees would immediately respond with, "that coupon is no longer valid."
I'm not sure if that's legal - it seems to fall under the laws of false advertising/bait-and-switch - but I'm no law expert.
However, if you're listening out there - stay away. Right now, instead of having paid $12.99 for a pizza/breadsticks combo (as per their coupon) I have to fight a $33 worth of charges on my debit card.
Why? Because first they billed us incorrectly.
Then, when we called them and asked them to correct it... They billed us again.
Beware out there, Naked is NOT your friend.
