Nominated for a Grammy 2 years in a row for his remixes of Moby and Daft Punk, Photek is also renowned for his remixes of artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Lana Del Rey, David Bowie, Bob Marley, and Bjork.
Local support from bass champions Will Guise (Convict Digital) , EvLo (Organized Grime), Adia Break (Future Wednesday), and Ghost M.D. (SD Union), and with masters of ceremonies CSD, Ridda, and Submlinal.
“When we started SD Union, we said, we’re going to book from every crew, every clique, every genre of music,” says Ridda, who inaugurated the monthly event in 2010 with the help of former Ruby Room co-owner Sean Cute (a.k.a. junglist Hannibal Selector).
