Buenasolasfest brings Baja's finest to the beach

Outdoor festival on the coastline of Ensenada features Maniquí Lazer, Fax, Letters From Readers, The Electric Healing Sound, Celofán, and more.

On Saturday, June 15, Buenasolasfest is bringing a full day of Baja jams to Anfiteatro de Viento at Colectivo Gastronómico – km 104 on Highway 1, just north of Ensenada in El Sauzal.

Topping the bill is Mexicali’s recently reunited noise dance punks, Maniquí Lazer, who may or may not have a new album in the works:

Another Mexicali gem, Fax ranges territory from spooky minimal techno to ambient, cinematic soundscapes:

Letters From Readers (Mexicali) – This oft-instrumental post-rock outfit started as a solo project of electronic experimentalist Gerardo Montoya. He is now joined by vocalist Chelsea Kirby and members of Fax, Maniqui Lazer, and Vampire Slayer, whose punk rock swagger is evident on the recent album, Dot Dash:
