Robin Roth becomes Music Director at 91X

Robin Roth is now Music Director at 91X, effective immediately.

In addition to her midday show at 91X (Monday - Friday 10AM - 2PM), Roth also organizes a few club nights around town: Club Sabbat, Club Ascension, and Club Pussy Galore. Via text messages during her show today, Robin Roth told me that regardless of her new position at 91X, "Nothing's changing with club nights." Same goes for her midday show. Roth is also a contributor for NBC's SoundDiego. I assume sleep will be factored into her schedule somewhere.

Roth was originally at 91X from 1986 until 2005, and returned full time (on-air) in 2010.

In a press release Roth is quoted saying, “I am so looking forward to what’s ahead! Plus, the opportunity to work closely with Christy is an added bonus.” Christy Taylor is the Program Director at the station.

“The search to fill the position was long and filled with great candidates, but Robin knows the 91X brand and really understands what music works in San Diego,” said Taylor. “Robin is stoked, and we’re all excited to take 91X to a higher level.”
