Dance friendly indie rock trio New Mexico recently became a four-piece with the addition of Roxy Jones singer/guitarist Peter Graves on keys.
Anticipating their fourth show with the new line-up, New Mexico (née Apes of Wrath) recently revamped their sound to incorporate synth and organ as central instruments, lending a new wave, post punk quality to the band's driving riffs.
“They wrote and recorded all those parts on their own,” Graves told The Reader, “and brought [me] in to bring it across in the live show.”
Check ‘em out live on Thursday, July 26 at the Casbah with The Happy Hollows, Barbarian, and Bruin.
Tickets online ($8) or $10 at the door.
