Alt-Country sextet River City is celebrating the release of their debut full length album, The Flood & The Gavel, tomorrow night at the Soda Bar in conjunction with a Drew Andrews album release, Goddamn, Yes I'm For Real.
“The energetic sonic folk arrangements combined with an often dark and whimsical lyrical content provides for an expansive foot-stomping journey from beginning to end,” River City writes in a press release.
The Flood & The Gavel includes a sixteen page booklet of art and lyrics created by lead singer and songwriter Jon Kruger, whose art is also featured in the animated music video for the song “Into the Wooded Forest Cave.”

River City released their first EP, Into the Quiet, in the fall of 2010. They later added two permanent members to their line-up of crooning outlaws and embarked on several West Coast tours.
