Godfather of Nerdcore Graces Comic Con Afterparty

“The two opposing forces- Devil’s Playground Burlesque and Tiny Nightmare Productions have created a nerdcore centric show to remember,” writes Aubree Miller, curator of the monthly Nerdcore Night at The Ruby Room.

“The LA-based, Geek-Girl burlesque troupe, most notably known for their Sci-Fi Sirens production will be hosting and performing the production. The girls will be entertaining between nerdcore heavy hitters like MC Frontalot, MC Lars, Dr. Awkward, Broken Pixels and local Nerdcore Night performers El Gun Legro and MC Chalkskin.

“MC Frontalot, known as the ‘Godfather of Nerdcore’ will be headlining the show with MC Lars, who is fresh off of his UK Tour promoting his Edgar Allan Poe EP and recently performed at Carnegie Hall on May 23, 2012.

“Great things are expected to happen. Dr. Awkward will be taking his time off from his summer tour to make his appearance alongside his longtime friends. At last year’s Comic Con after party Dr. Awkward performed a memorable version of “I’ll form the head”- it was the first time either artist had been in the same room and performed the song live.

“This show will be the only performance of MC Frontalot, MC Lars or Dr. Awkward during this year’s San Diego Comic Con. All three performers have a long history and fun collaborations with each other that will only be seen at this event.

“The show is set to be a very intimate setting with limiting tickets being sold online for $15 or $20 at the door.”
