Will High Flying Birds Land in San Diego?

Stereogum.com has called Noel Gallagher "the man who wrote virtually all the songs for Oasis, and sang a lot of the best ones." The Daily Mail reviewed Gallagher's solo project — named after a song by San Francisco rockers Jefferson Airplane - the High Flying Birds and raved about the "dreamy harmonies, strummed guitars, and Ringo-esque drumming" that reminds many of Wonderwall. Anticipation (and curiosity) is high to check out the ex-Oasis band member, and San Diego will soon get that opportunity.

Though the High Flying Birds put on a well-received set during night one of 91X's Wrex the Halls in December at the Valley View Casino Center, it was abbreviated. The band is scheduled to appear at Coachella in the spring, and now there is confirmation the High Flying Birds are headed back to San Diego.

A long listing on concertboom.com highlights the busy Birds’ jam-packed 2012 tour schedule. There is a "Noel Gallagher concert in San Diego" scheduled for sometime after September 10, 2012. Also on the list, Gallagher shows in Long Beach and Los Angeles to be arranged. Good news for fans who never quite caught Oasis on their infrequent, and often hastily canceled, tours of the United States or missed Gallagher's Birds at Wrex the Halls.
