The La Jolla Music Society's Summer Fest is in full swing. The four-week festival started on July 31st and closes on August 24th.
This week there are concerts on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Tuesday's concert is an all Schubert affair while Friday's concert is all Beethoven. Saturday is a concert of tango music. Sunday features members of the Hoffman family playing the harp, viola, and cello.
Wednesday is a dose of musical comedy duo Igudesman & Joo. They are following in the steps of Victor Borge and P.D.Q. Bach and making classical music hilarious.
The duo met while students at England's Yehudi Menuhin School while still adolescents. In 2004 they launched the show the they will be performing on Wednesday, A Little Nightmare Music.
Igudesman and Joo have legitimate chops but haven chosen to be ambasadors of music via comedy.
The concert is this Wednesday at 7:30 pm in Sherwood Auditorium.
