“This month we are rinsing out Kava Lounge with some more future bass,” writes Liquid Geometry promoter Theo Adams.
“Clicks and Whistles brings forward a dizzying array of UK Garage, jittery House, along with the trunk-rattling bass and syrupy rhythms of dirty southern hip hop. Joining Clicks and Whistles is SD bass scene heavyweight CRMNL and Sleeve's first show in SD since his tour of Asia (not to mention his BIRTHDAY set). Visual artist and DJ CutMod will be delivering his very first audio/visual set, and local spaceman DINK is closing the night out for us.”
“I design interactive audiovisual performance systems,” writes CutMod (Will Michaelsen), a UCSD student and regular VJ at Kava Lounge experimental electronic music events.
“I write the visualization software with Apple's Quartz Composer and design multi touch control interfaces with TouchOSC for iPad. I also Produce and DJ with Ableton Live. For performance I use several MIDI controllers including one that I built myself. I am currently developing a video synchronization system between Ableton and Quartz Composer. I plan to synch music videos with their respective songs in Ableton as well as trigger visual events via MIDI drums and controller manipulation in Ableton.”
