Galactic Reign, a Liquid Geometry monthly that has been on hiatus for several months, returned to the Kava Lounge last night for a one-off showcase of local and imported experimental live beats.
In the past, Galactic Reign has hosted notable beat musicians such as Strangeloop, Teebs, MONO/POLY, Lorn, Take, and Dibiase.
Last night, Victoria, B.C. beatmaker Monolithium headlined in the psychedelic glow of Wind Spirit's live projections, which were only enhanced by strong beer and the free prism glasses being handed out at the door.

Local musician Misk closed out the night with a bass heavy set tickled out of a Monome.
I was standing pretty close to the speaker. Turns out that makes for a really distorted recording on my new camera. Enjoy.
